(Beginners Class) Happy Days Baby Quilt

Quilt instructor Rosa Williams will teach you how to make a baby quilt in our intermediate quilting class. At some point in your life you will become a mother, a grandmother, or be invited to a baby shower. These are all good reasons to expand your quilting skills. 

Sewing machine is required. (If you are traveling from out of town, a sewing machine will be provided). Beginning quilting class or basic knowledge of sewing and quilting is recommended. 

You will learn to cut and match your seams precisely and end the day with a completed top. Bring your favorite baby fabric and some fabric for the sharing table. Although there will be an iron and cutting table in the classroom, bring your own travel iron, cutting mat and ironing mat if you have them and like to work fast.

Continental breakfast and lunch are included in the ticket price.

HAPPY DAYS

Happy Days is an easy quilt requiring basic quilting skills. It is appropriate for an infant or toddler. It measures 42 x 54 finished, or w/o borders, 36 x 48. (can make larger after class – adding borders)

Fabric:       2 fabrics (A & C)  - ½ yard each

2 fabrics (B & D)  - ¾ yard each

Quilt borders  3 in wide  ½ yard

Working sewing machine & extra needle

*  Qtr inch foot or able to adjust needle

Rulers:  6 ½ x 24    12 ½ in block

**  Cutting mat

Rotary cutter & scissors

Neutral 100% cotton (not for hand quilting)

Straight pins & pin cushion

Seam ripper

Iron
