Quilters compete for ribbons and cash in four categories in the juried exhibit: African American Heritage, Art Quilt, Modern Quilt, and Traditional Quilt.

 

Juried exhibit winners are chosen by a distinguished panel of judges. Awards for winning quilts are presented during the Opening Reception.

Viewers of the juried exhibit vote by secret ballot for Best of Show during the month long exhibit. Winners in the Best of Show category are announced on the web site and social media after the exhibit closes.

The Atlanta Quilt Festival also features special exhibits that are not part of the juried competition.
