Beginning Quilting – Nina Moore, Teacher

Time: 10 am to 4 pm

Place: Southwest Arts Center

This class is for those who have never quilted before or have very little knowledge of quilting. Since it is only a one day class we will be going over just the very basics of quilting which will be limited to piecing by machine. It is NOT a class for hand quilting.

 

You must have a sewing machine in good working order with all of its cords, feet, attachments, needles, etc. You should also bring a pair of fabric scissors, and neutral thread (gray or beige) and a bobbin filled with the same thread. If possible please have your machine threaded prior to class.

 

This class could be maybe 3 to 4 hours more or less depending on your sewing skills. I will supply the kit with the fabric for the class. We will have one quilted block at the end of this class.

I will lead you on an optional guided tour of the juried exhibit at the end of class.

Continental breakfast and lunch are included.
