Beginning Hand Quilting– Mary Maynard, Teacher

Time: 10 am to 4 pm

Place: Southwest Arts Center

Fee: $40.00

 

Master Quilter Mary Maynard will teach you the basics of hand quilting so that you can make your quilts true heirlooms.

 

In this class you will learn the basics of sandwiching a quilt and how to do the hand quilting stitch using a hoop in your lap. You will also have the opportunity to quilt on a quilt in a large floor frame. Materials provided will be Fabric, batting, needles, and thread. Thimble

Small scissors

A pencil or washable marker for marking

Masking Tape or Blue Painters tape

Long Straight Pins

Continental breakfast and lunch are included in the class fee.

 

There will be time after class to view the exhibit.
